Citadel EHS, Inc. seeks a full-time Project Assistant (PA) to provide administrative and technical support to our Industrial Hygiene and Safety (IH&S) department. The ideal candidate will possess a background, either through education or experience, in industrial hygiene, safety, environmental science, and/or environmental engineering. The PA role provides broad exposure to opportunities and projects throughout Citadel and presents a wonderful path forward opportunity for those who may be exploring a career in EHS.
Responsibilities:
- Administers Citadel’s accounting system to help set up and track opportunities, proposals, projects, and invoices
- Supports Citadel Project Managers and consulting staff to help complete projects
- Coordinates with analytical laboratories and vendors
- Supports Department by maintaining supplies and equipment
- Supports new business prospecting and lead generation
- Supports proposal development by performing cost-estimating, and technical research
- Supports technical report preparation
- Conducts some field work, usually in a support role, and participates in on-call rotation
Skills/Qualifications:
- College degree or on track to graduate, preferably B.S. in occupational health and safety, IH or a related science
- MS Office, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
- Well-developed time management and organizational skills, with strict attention to detail
- Strong written and effective interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with math, scientific concepts, and regulations related to IH and EHS
- Ability to work independently with remote supervision
- Able to balance multiple priorities with competing deadlines and stakeholders to achieve team success
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and handle equipment up to 25 pounds independently and 50 pounds with assistance
- Must possess a reliable means of transportation to commute to the Glendale Office and travel throughout SoCal
- Must be able to drive for up to 2-3 hours to support Department needs for all Southern California offices
- Must be able to conduct computer-based work for prolonged periods of time (up to a full shift)
