Health Benefits
Medical
Citadel offers eligible employees a choice of four medical plans through Blue Shield of California:
- Platinum HMO
- Silver PPO HSA
- Gold PPO HSA
- Platinum PPO
Because everyone’s healthcare needs and circumstances are different, these plans provide a range of coverage levels, provider options, and out-of-pocket costs. Citadel also contributes to the Health Savings Accounts of employees enrolled in the Silver or Gold HSA plan.
Dental
Citadel offers two dental plans through Guardian: Dental Health Maintenance Organization (DHMO) plan and a POS Freedom dental plan. These plans provide different levels of provider flexibility, coverage, and out-of-pocket costs.
Citadel pays 100% of the employee-only premium. Employees may also elect coverage for eligible family members at an additional cost.
Vision
Citadel offers insured vision coverage through Mutual of Omaha/EyeMed. The plan includes benefits for annual eye exams, lenses, frames, and contact lenses.

Eligible employees who do not enroll in the insured vision plan may instead qualify for reimbursement of up to $150 per year for eligible vision-related expenses.
Basic Life and AD&D
Citadel provides eligible employees with $50,000 in company-paid basic life and accidental death and dismemberment insurance through Mutual of Omaha.
Long-Term Disability
Citadel provides eligible employees with long-term disability coverage through Mutual of Omaha. If an employee becomes disabled and is unable to work due to a qualifying illness or injury, the plan replaces 60% of eligible earnings, up to $10,000 per month, after a 90-day waiting period.

401(k) Savings Plan
Citadel’s 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options to help employees save for retirement. Citadel also provides a matching contribution of up to 4% of eligible compensation.

Time Off
Vacation
Eligible employees accrue paid vacation based on their length of service. Vacation accruals for employees working 40 hours per week are:
- First two years of employment: 80 hours per year
- More than two but fewer than 10 years of employment: 120 hours per year
- 10 or more years of employment: 160 hours per year
Vacation accrues based on eligible hours worked and may be used once it has been earned.
Sick Leave
Citadel provides eligible employees with paid sick leave to support their health and well-being. Employees may also use sick leave to care for qualifying family members or attend medical appointments.
For employees working in locations without different legally required accrual rules, sick leave accrues at a rate of 0.01923 hours for each hour worked, up to a maximum accrued balance of 40 hours. Different accrual, usage, carryover, or balance requirements may apply based on applicable state or local law.
Paid Holidays
Citadel currently observes nine paid company holidays:

Eligibility and holiday pay are based on employment status, regularly scheduled hours, and Citadel’s holiday policy.
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS
Health Savings Account
Employees enrolled in an eligible high-deductible medical plan may contribute pre-tax funds to a Health Savings Account to help pay for qualified healthcare expenses. Citadel also contributes $75 per pay period to the accounts of employees enrolled in the Silver or Gold HSA plan.
Flexible Spending Accounts
Citadel offers eligible employees a Health Flexible Spending Account and a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account. These accounts allow employees to set aside money on a pre-tax basis, up to applicable IRS limits, to pay for eligible healthcare or dependent-care expenses.
Voluntary Insurance
Eligible employees may purchase additional voluntary benefits through Mutual of Omaha and Colonial Life. Available options may include voluntary life and AD&D, accident, hospital indemnity, disability, cancer, critical illness, and other supplemental insurance coverage. Premiums for voluntary benefits are paid by the employee through payroll deductions.
Short-Term Incentive Plan
Eligible employees may participate in Citadel’s Short-Term Incentive Plan. Participation and payouts are governed by the terms of the plan and are discretionary.
Tuition Assistance Program
Citadel supports continued education and professional growth by offering tuition assistance to eligible employees for approved education expenses.
Reward and Recognition Program
Citadel’s Reward and Recognition Program recognizes employees for their contributions, accomplishments, and commitment to the company’s success.
Training and Professional Development
Citadel encourages employees to continue developing their knowledge and skills through job-related training, professional development, and approved certification opportunities.
