Jason is the Chairman of Broadview Group and Chief Executive Officer of Broadview Capital Holdings, the firm's commodity investment platform. He brings extensive experience in commodity markets, risk management, and building family-owned businesses through strategic acquisitions and operational growth.
Jason founded JML Capital, the predecessor to Broadview Capital, and led its growth as an alternative asset manager before it became part of Broadview Group. Before that, he spent more than a decade at Maschhoff Family Foods. He joined as Chief Financial Officer and was later named the company's first non-family CEO. During his time there, the company grew from about $50 million to $1.5 billion in annual sales and became the largest family-owned hog producer in North America. He led several acquisitions, built the company's commodity risk management program, and launched Gateway City Capital Investors, the Maschhoff family's private equity vehicle. He began his career in investment banking with Merrill Lynch & Co.
Jason was raised on his family's pork and grain farm in Illinois and holds a BS in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
