Northern California – Project Engineer/Geologist/Scientist

Citadel Environmental Services, Inc. DBA: Citadel EHS seeks a full-time Project level Engineer/Geologist/Scientist to support upper-level managers, mentor junior staff and manage high-profile Engineering and Environmental Science (EES) related projects, including leading the Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) team, and conducting subsurface soil, soil gas, groundwater, and vapor intrusion investigations and remediation of same through Site closure. Previous work associated with a wide array of Phase I ESAs, Phase II projects, and remediation techniques is ideal. The person to fill this role has an entrepreneurial outlook on their work, will have successfully managed projects from inception through completion, and prides themselves on their ability to mentor a diverse staff. The EES Group is poised for significant growth and needs to fill certain roles to keep up with this demand. Excellent communication skills are a must have with proven business development success. Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of related experience with demonstrated growth in responsibilities.

Skills/Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Geology or Environmental Science required.
  2. Minimum 5 years of providing environmental consulting expertise to a wide range of industry sectors and client demands.
  3. CA PE in Civil Engineering or CA PG is preferred, or ability to obtain.
  4. 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification required.
  5. Experience with DTSC, RWQCB, and local regulatory oversight programs.
  6. Management of projects and mentoring of staff and limited business development experience required.
  7. Proven experience conducting/preparing environmental characterization and remediation programs, including preparation of remedial action plans, and designing and implementing the remediation process.
  8. Self-Starter and responsiveness are a must.
  9. Working knowledge of construction management, reading blueprints, proficient with MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel skills.
  10. Should possess excellent communication, organizational skills and time management practices
  11. Limited travel may be required.

Level/Salary Range: $85,000 – $115,000 + bonuses
