We are pleased to announce that Citadel EHS has been prominently featured in the Environmental Business Journal’s (EBJ) Executive Review Edition (Volume 38 Numbers 1/2: Q1 2025). In this insightful edition, our CEO, Loren Witkin, participated in an extensive expert Q&A session, discussing significant developments and challenges within the environmental, health, and safety (EHS) sector.
Loren highlighted critical trends shaping EHS litigation over the past five years, including increased regulatory scrutiny by agencies such as Cal/OSHA and EPA, and the emergence of lawsuits related to climate change, worker safety, and contaminants like PFAS. He emphasized the importance of adaptability and proactive risk management strategies to navigate evolving regulatory landscapes effectively. Loren also detailed how technological advancements, such as artificial intelligence, real-time monitoring systems, and mobile compliance apps, are revolutionizing EHS practices, allowing companies to manage risks more efficiently and maintain compliance with increasingly stringent regulations.
Additionally, Citadel EHS was recognized at the EBJ Awards Ceremony on March 20, 2025, in San Diego, receiving the prestigious Project Merit Award. This honor was awarded for Citadel’s exceptional litigation support services provided to the California State University (CSU) system in a high-stakes lawsuit with significant financial implications. George Smith proudly attended the event on behalf of Citadel and accepted the award.
