The South Coast AQMD Governing Board has approved $73.1 million through the WAIRE Mitigation Program to support zero-emission (ZE) Class 4 – 8 trucks, ZE yard trucks, and ZE charging and fueling infrastructure.

Eligible applicants include warehouse operators, fleet operators, and infrastructure providers serving warehouses. Projects will be prioritized in communities where WAIRE fees were collected – helping reduce emissions in areas most affected by warehouse-related pollution.

Key dates:

🔹 September 22, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. – Application portal opens for drafting
🔹 October 13, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. – Completed applications may be submitted
🔹 December 15, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. – Final application deadline

Funding will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis, so interested organizations should review Program Announcement PA2027-1 and begin preparing their project information and supporting documentation early.
