Nature’s Specialties

Citadel EHS (Citadel) was contacted by Nature’s Specialties (Client) to update the Hazardous Materials Business Plan (HMBP) and the Chemical Classification Forms per the California Fire Code (CFC) for the facility located at 422 North Smith Avenue in the City of Corona, California. The Corona Fire Department (CFD), the local Certified Unified Program Agency (CUPA), issued a notice of violation in June 2021 and required an updated Hazardous Materials Inventory (HMI) and an updated Site Map as part of the HMBP to meet the CFD’s requirements. Citadel conducted a Site inspection to collect updated information including inventory of hazardous materials storage and locations detailing material quantities and containers; emergency shut off locations; emergency and evacuation operations; hazardous materials and hazardous waste training; and spill cleanup procedures. In addition to the HMBP submittal, Citadel completed a Chemical Classification Form and Chemical Classification Summary Totals as required by the CFD to determine the application of CFC provisions and permit requirements.

Citadel has continued to assist with the annual submittal of the HMBP through the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS) and the CFD’s Chemical Classification documents.
