AIR PERMITTING FOR THE HISTORIC LOS ANGELES TIMES BUILDING

Los Angeles Times Building - Air Quality Permitting

The historic Los Angeles Times Building opened in 1935 and is known for housing the Los Angeles Times headquarters. Considering our expertise in historic built environments, we were contacted to assess air quality and other environmental regulatory reporting.

Our team obtained and completed all the necessary paperwork to transfer all SCAQMD permits  into the new entity name, including air quality permits related to RECLAIM. Further assistance was performed in various areas: we provided oversight of source testings by a qualified third-party company, reviewed testing protocols, and prepared any new, required SCAQMD reports, as well as drafted standard operating procedures for compliance. Finally, our team prepared RECLAIM reports on a quarterly and annual basis, which included reviewing raw fuel use data and emissions calculations  for both permitted and non-permitted equipment. The result was full compliance with air permit requirements.
