Citadel EHS was honored to have our CEO, Loren Witkin, and project manager, Jack Samuels, attend the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) Gala last week. This year marked SCI-Arc’s 50th anniversary, which was commemorated with a special scholarship fundraising gala as well as free and accessible events and programs taking place throughout 2022.On October 11th, friends and supporters of SCI-Arc were invited to gather for Main Event 2022, a scholarship fundraiser and celebration of the outrageous creativity that for 50 years has propelled the school’s thought leadership in architecture and design. At the Southern California Institute of Architecture gala dinner and awards presentation, the institution was thrilled to honor inimitable creative leaders including architect Frank Gehry, visual artist Alison Saar, Walt Disney Imagineering, and the Herald Examiner Building/Georgetown Company.
Loren and Jack were awed and inspired as they celebrated the achievements of our long time Citadel client, Georgetown Company. Georgetown Company, was recognized by SCIARC during their 50th Anniversary Gala for completion of the Herald Examiner adaptive re-use project now occupied by ASU.
Citadel EHS was one of the first consultants of any kind the Georgetown consulted when they landed in LA. Besides providing all aspects of environmental due diligence, remediation design, and project oversight, Georgetown sought Citadel’s input on the solicitation of design professional and general contractors for the project given Citadel’s knowledge and contacts in the Southern California A/E/C market.
